Shamrock PTO - Turkey Trot

The PTO Turkey Trot is one of the students' favorite fundraisers each year. Students collect pledges and then walk/job laps around the school to raise money for our PTO Enrichments. Pledges are collected easily through an online pledge system, called 99 Pledges. Students can win raffles for participating and the winning class gets to be a part of a school-wide event with Mr. Clark. Past winners have slimed him, helped him kiss a pig, created a turkey dinner out of him and other crazy (and gross) activities. We hope you can help be a part of this great event.

Please submit pledges by November 21st.

Monthly Character Trait: November: CITIZENSHIP

"Citizenship" is the quality of a person's response to membership in a community. Being a citizen doesn't automatically make you a good citizen, which is why teaching citizenship to elementary students is so important. By teaching children different themes of citizenship, we can help them learn how to positively contribute to their community by focusing on empathy, respect, compassion, diversity, and inclusion as we explore themes of citizenships with our class

Want to learn how to help your child be a good citizen?

Check out this newsletter HERE.

** Each month we will highlight a new trait and celebrate the students who show this Character Trait during the month. Thank you to our School Counselor, Mrs. Julie Urquhart, who teaches our in-class lessons and puts together the parent newsletter for each trait.

Shamrock PTO Information and Important Links

Our amazing PTO needs your help (and not just your money). Due to COVID restrictions, our PTO has been shrinking. We are down to only a handful of volunteer helpers who are working hard for our students. They would love your help; please come to meetings (now in-person), volunteer for one or more events and support our fundraisers. Any small part of your time has a BIG impact for our students!
