STUDENTS OF THE WEEK

Gavin Mendoza

Gavin is one of our student of the week for a number of reasons. First, his attendance has been very consistent since being here. Along with this, he is always on time and ready to work from the time he sits down. He has also been doing great work on his assignments. But what has impressed me the most about Gavin is that he rides his bike to and from school every day. His round trip is more than 20 miles and 2 hours! This type of dedication to being at school is more than commendable and deserves recognition. Keep up the effort Gavin, I am very proud of you!

Jonathan Pedral Hernandez

Jonathan gets work done. Plain and simple. Every day he sits in a seat where he knows he won’t be distracted, he takes notes and participates, and in turn, performs well on all HW assignments and summative assessments.

Evan Hernandez

Evan has been working extremely hard in Apex! He has completed 4 classes in a little over 4 weeks and is determined to complete all classes for graduation. He gets to class on time every morning, has a good attitude, and works diligently all period.

Isaac Hernandez

Isaac has been doing outstanding in Apex. He has completed 5 classes just in the month of May, which is incredible! He is working diligently to graduate. He always has a great attitude in class and comes to school every day to achieve his goals. Isaac deserves to be student of the week for his tremendous efforts, and motivation to succeed and graduate!

Employee Of The Week

Mrs. Amanda Novoa

Mrs. Amanda Novoa recently finished her counseling internship at TVHS and had been working at Margarita Middle prior to coming to RVHS. Amanda stepped into the counseling position at RVHS during a time of major graduation changes. She hit the ground running on her very first day. She was given the task of re-organizing and updating previous student progress along with creating new schedules and resolutions for almost all of our seniors. She has been doing an amazing job scheduling parent-student meetings and getting seniors on track to graduate.

Amanda has quickly created close relationships with students and staff. She fits right in at RVHS. Her passion for student success is clear to see. She has been instrumental in preparing our students for graduation in a short amount of time. We are so happy that she joined the “Ranch” when she did, it has made the biggest of differences for our students. If you have not yet had a chance to meet her, make a point to stop by, say hi, and congratulations because she is our employee of the week! Thank you for all of your hard work and willingness to help us out.
