Global Perspectives on Gender and Education: Panel Session

For the 5th consecutive year, Winthrop University is hosting 20 high school teachers - Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Fellows - from around the globe. Each year our TEA Fellows speak about education in their countries. You'll learn how issues of gender and equity are handled in classrooms from around the world.

Our annual panel on comparative education is a must see event!

Join us Tuesday, March 1st from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Plowden Auditorium.

This event is an approved cultural event!

17 countries and territories will be represented:

Bangladesh, Columbia, India, South Africa, Belarus, Dominican Republic, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Burkina Faso, Ecuador, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Cameroon, Ghana, Panama, Vietnam
Venezuela, and West Bank

Our panel will be moderated by Jennifer Disney, Ph.D., Department Chair and Professor of Political Science; Director, Women's and Gender Studies Program.
