Please share this information with caregivers or others who may be assisting you with pick-up and drop-off.
Remain in your car if in the car line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it okay to have my car in front of the fire hydrant on Dryden?
Yes, as long as you remain in your car and can move it should there be a need to.
Where should I tell my child to wait for me if I’m running late?
Choose a predetermined spot in front of the school building in advance. We encourage students to wait by the flagpole.
Where is it safest for my child to cross the street?
There is a crossing guard at the intersection of Dryden & Rockwell.
Why can’t I drop off / pick up my child(ren) in the residents’ driveways?
We want to be respectful of our neighbors’ property and access to their driveways. Additionally, State Law 625 ILCS 5/11-1303 states that there is NO PARKING within 30 feet of a STOP sign, within 20 feet of a crosswalk or intersection, or in front of a driveway.
With everyone’s patience, attention and cooperation, the carline only takes a few minutes during arrival and dismissal. Thank you for helping to keep our students safe, and thank you for being considerate of our neighbors!
Friday Flips
The Dryden staff is on the lookout for students going above and beyond in big and small ways to make a positive impact on their school community. These Dolphin sightings are recognized during the morning announcements on Fridays. The students below were recognized for exemplifying the Dryden Dolphin Do's of being CARING, RESPONSIBLE and SAFE. Stay tuned for updates on these awesome Dolphin sightings and Friday Flips!
New Club: Dolphins Serve
Are you a Dryden student interested in helping your school and community? Then Dolphins Serve is just the club for you! Dolphins Serve is a student service club that will meet every Tuesday during lunch (12:10-1:10) in Room 133. This club is sponsored by Mrs. Samuels and is for students in grade 3-5. The service club will brainstorm areas to help serve our school and community.
The club will have a maximum capacity of 30 students. Please submit your interest in the club by Thursday, November 3rd at 3:30 pm. If more than 30 students show interest, names will be put in a randomizer for selection and a second session would be added in the spring.

5th Grade Musical Volunteers
Mr Deptula's Musicals are starting and our 5th Graders are up first on Thursday, November 3 at 6:30pm. The PTA is looking for some volunteers to help with the musical. In addition to the volunteers we typically need, we would love to have a non-5th grade parent take pictures during the performance, as well as someone to dress up as Echo to sing the School Song with The Class of 2023 (Shhh, this will be a surprise for our 5th graders). If you have some time and would like to help out, we would love to have you. Please click on the sign-up below.
Also, check out the Rock Star Treatment Auction for front row seats or front space parking.
Please contact Nikki Mather mathfam4@gmail.com or Jen Kim jbelkim@gmail.com if you have any questions.
