Kara Wilkes
Who is it for?
This strategy can be used for grades Pre-K through 8! It is also a great strategy for ELL students because its primary focus is pictures to aide in comprehension of written text.
What is it?
Story boards is a comprehension strategy that takes pictures form a story that show main ideas and key points and the students have to put them in order from beginning to end. This allows the students to visualize the story after it has been read. It also checks the students comprehension of the story because without understanding what was going on while rading they would not be able to reorder the pictures.
