Don't forget to wear your MASK to school!

School Spirit Day!

Next TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, show your school spirit and wear your school shirt to school!

Yay! PreK joined us this week!

Our preschool kiddos started school this past Monday! We are happy to report that we had all smiles and great behavior. Our preschoolers are settling into their routine and Mrs. Bardhoshi and Ms. Reger are enjoying their first week.

Attendance

If your child will be absent from school (and coming in person), please call the school at 833-6916 or email leesnotes@rockingham.k12.va.us . Attendance for virtual and HLA learning will be done by their classroom teacher. Please communicate with your child's teacher if they will not be completing work as that is part of their attendance. Information for parents and virtual/HLA attendance will be forthcoming when it is school board approved.

Transportation Changes and Pickup Info

If you need to change your child's transportation (bus to pickup, etc.), please call the school by 2:15 pm each day.

You may only change your child to a bus if they are a normal bus rider. No, you may not choose a different bus without PRIOR approval which sometimes takes a few days. There are some stipulations because of social distancing rules. (You may call and change your child from bus to pickup since that does not impact social distancing rules on the bus.) Your child may not ride the bus home with another student unless it is the same bus. Please remember that children MUST wear their mask on the bus.

If your child is a pickup each afternoon, you may enter the pickup loop beginning at 2:50. We are moving through pickup faster, so please make sure you are there by 2:55. Thank you for your understanding and please call or email with questions.

REMINDER: FREE MEALS for ALL KIDS!

The USDA is providing free meals to ALL Rockingham County students. The school meal programs are supported by guidance and reimbursement from USDA. The USDA announced that schools can feed all children (under 18) without cost to the household. Both breakfast and lunch are available during non-holiday weeks for all in-school students at no cost (probably through December, 2020).

Free meals for in-person students (for Wednesdays) will be sent home with students on Tuesdays.

Free meals are available for non-enrolled children and 100% virtual students from each of our school sites for parent pick up during the hours of 3-6 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. For Monday/Thursday parent pick-up for 100% virtual students and non-enrolled children, it is desired that parents complete the revised "Take-Home Meal Order" form below so that we have an idea how many of these to prepare. A completed form is requested but not required.
