SGS will be closed on Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Classes will resume Tuesday, January 21st.


Please keep in your prayers our St. Gertrude and St. Ann 8th grade students and chaperones who will be traveling to Washington D.C. next week to take part in the Pro Life March. They will leave on January 21st at 12:30 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 12:15 p.m in the Parish Center.

Second quarter report cards are coming home today in your Thursday folders. Please look them over and sign them. They need to be returned to school by Tuesday, January 21st.

We are excited to announce that our school is participating in the Reading For Education program. Your student is bringing home an envelope with the words Hello Parents across the top. Please take 10 minutes to complete the materials in the envelope and return them to school. That is all you have to do for your student to earn a prize and our school to earn money.


St. Gertrude Parish Sausage Dinner is Sunday, January 19 from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Adults - $11.00, Children (6-12) $4.00 and Under 6 - Free.


Save the date! St. Gertrude will kick off its Catholic Schools Week celebration by holding an open house on January 26 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Please help spread the word and invite any family and friends who might be interested in enrolling their child(ren) at St. Gertrude School. All current families, alumni and parishioners are welcome to stop by too!


St. Gertrude Summer camp will be held June 1st thru July 31st. Camp is open to children age 3-8th grade. Camp runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with before and after care available starting at 6:30 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. Registration begins for current St. Gertrude students on January 17, 2020 and opens up to all others on February 3, 2020. Space is limited. A $50 registration fee is required to hold a spot. The registration fee will take the place of the supply list. Mark your calendars! Our next H & S meeting is January 30th at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Our guest speaker is a detective from Franklin County Sherriff's Department to speak about what parents need to look for and precautions they can put in place to protect their children regarding internet safety with today's technology.


St. Gertrude's Athletic Association is hiring an Athletic Director. The Athletic Director position is a paid, flexible, part-time position responsible for overseeing the Athletic Association Board, scheduling games/referees/concessions/facilities, and other duties. 150 CLUB

The 150 Club Dinner/Dance will be held February 1, 2020 in the Parish Center. Have you considered this opportunity? We’d love to have you join this fun group of individuals, who through their membership help support St. Gertrude School. If you are interested in becoming a member, forms can be found on Fast Direct/Planner/Tina Van Booven. You can drop this form at the parish office, school office, or in the collection basket.


Make Leap Year a night to remember at St. Gertrude Casino Night - February 29, 2020 - 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. at St. Gertrude Parish Center. Over $5,000 in CASH and PRIZES to be awarded. Cost is $100 ticket for two adults (No one under 21 admitted). Dinner served from 6:00 p.m - 7:30 p.m., Open Bar all night, start-up COUGAR BUCKS, 50/50 raffle, Games of Chance. SGS was presented with 100 books for our library from the Ready, Set, Read book drive in memory of Mr. Clem Genteman. We are so grateful and blessed to have received this generous gift. "Mr. G" continues to bless us! He was known for wearing fun and crazy ties to school, so our students wore some of those for the picture below.
