Principal's Message
I would like to wish every PUE student, family, and staff member a Happy Holiday! I look forward to seeing you all in the new year!
Due to the short week next week, we will not have a Friday Message next week. The Friday Message will resume on Friday, January 7th.
We will welcome students on Track 1, 2, and 3 back to school on Monday, January 3. We will welcome Track 4 back on Monday, January 24.
On Thursday, December 16, Mrs. Perry and I hosted "Playdate with the Principals." We spent the entire day engaged in conversations and play during recess for each grade level. We loved spending quality time with students and learning more about their interests and favorite games. Please check out the pictures below.

Did you know that December is Safe Toys and Celebration Month?
From PTA Wellness Team: Since Halloween, it seems like the celebrations keep coming and things keep getting busier and busier. This is also the time when people start to forget their healthy eating habits, but it is the time when everyone should keep in mind that what they eat affects everything else. Here are a few healthy eating tips to keep in mind around the holidays: (from newinhealth.nih.gov)
Enjoy a healthy breakfast to help prevent overeating later. Eat what’s best for you first. Fill at least half your plate with fresh fruit and veggies. You’ll have less room for the rest. Bring a healthy dish to a party. Fruit by itself makes an excellent dessert. Try placing a bowl of clementine or apples on the holiday table. Avoid beverages that are high in calories and sugar. Keep a food journal to help track what you’re eating. Instead of focusing on food, spend time with family, friends, and activities. Stay positive. If you eat more on some days, eat less on others. If you miss a workout, exercise a little longer the next day.
