Are You the Next President of the United States?

Do you think you have what it takes to be the next President of the United States? Well, we have good news for you! However, before you send in that application to potentially run the whole country, make sure that you first meet the following three requirements: 1. Are a natural born citizen of the United States. 2. Are at least 35 years of age. 3. Have been a resident within the United States for at least 14 years. If you meet these three formal qualifications, apply today! We want you!

Preferred Experiences and Traits

While there are only a few formal requirements that must be met in order for you to serve as our next President of the United States, take into consideration the following traits and experiences that will increase your likelihood of being voted for and being elected into office.

How Long will I serve and What Does it Pay?

Don't worry, being President is not a life long commitment. Typically, the President will serve one term (or four years). However, if the people like you, you can serve more than 4 years. According to the 22nd Amendment, a person can only serve a maximum two full terms in office as the President of the United States. That's only 8 years! That still gives you plenty of time to retire and enjoy the typical activities that old folk enjoy! Not only is the serving time as President rather short, but the pay and the benefits of the job are pretty fantastic as well. As the President, your salary is $400,000 per year. No more or no less. Congress also provides the President with a $50,000-a-year expense allowance for the President to spend on what he/she may choose! Now you can buy that snazzy La-Z-Boy chair you have always had your eye on and place it in your 132-room mansion (a.k.a. the White House)! When being president, you are given multiple offices and a large staff that waits on your every need; a fleet of automobiles; fashionable planes and helicopters including the one and only "Air Force One"; a resort hideaway in the Catoctin Mountains in Maryland;the finest medical, dental, and other forms of health care; plenty of travel and entertainment funds; and much, much more!
