WHAT'S HAPPENING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION!
This month we will be focusing on spatial awareness activities, locomotor skills (running, jumping, hopping, skipping, galloping), pairing and moving together, body management, and balance.
The past few weeks we have also been focusing on the fundamentals of soccer. We have been working on dribbling the soccer ball with our feet trying to keep control of the ball at various speeds while also playing a variety of soccer activities and games.
Some of the games/activities we have introduced and played so far this year:
-Dead Bug Tag
-Freeze Tag
-Red Light/Green Light Tag
-Soccer
-Ultimate Soccer
-Dribble Knockout
-Poison Soccer
-Soccer Tag
-Clean Up Your Backyard
-Playground Safety
GYM SHOES!
We are so lucky at Osgood that our students get to have PE every day! With that being said, students need to have gym shoes with them at school every day.
Shoe tying can be a challenging procedure to try and teach your child. Below is a VERY helpful video showing an easier way to teach your child how to successfully tie their shoes!
