MEET YOUR GYM TEACHERS!
I have been teaching elementary Physical Education for the last 5 years for West Fargo Public Schools. I have a double major in both Physical and Health Education as well as my Master's in Leadership in Physical Education and Sport. Some things I enjoy doing are pheasant hunting, ice fishing, traveling, riding my motorcycle, and the lakes during the summers.

I am in my 9th year of teaching. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and also obtained my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am married and have 2 children; a 4 year old son named Vance and a 1 1/2 year old daughter named Kori. I enjoy working out and participating in full and half marathons. I also love taking pictures! My family and I love hanging out at the lake, taking pontoon rides, going for walks, and watching movies.
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION!
This month we will be focusing on spatial awareness activities, locomotor skills (running, jumping, hopping, skipping, galloping), pairing and moving together, body management, and balance.
The past few weeks we have also been focusing on the fundamentals of soccer. We have been working on dribbling the soccer ball with our feet trying to keep control of the ball at various speeds while also playing a variety of soccer activities and games.
Some of the games/activities we have introduced and played so far this year:
-Dead Bug Tag
-Red Light/Green Light Tag
-Clean Up Your Backyard
We are so lucky at Osgood that our students get to have PE every day! With that being said, students need to have gym shoes with them at school every day.
Shoe tying can be a challenging procedure to try and teach your child. Below is a VERY helpful video showing an easier way to teach your child how to successfully tie their shoes!
