What a great start it has been!
Routines are in place, we've had a GREAT first few months!
In the past few months, Ellington Public Schools has welcomed back students, the Board of Education has met with Administration, and our students and staff have attended athletic and school events! We have had a great start to the 22-23 school year. Now that the hustle and bustle of the holiday break is upon us, we wish you a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy new year ahead. Enjoy these next few weeks and use the time as a mini-refresh before we welcome everyone back in 2023.

September Special Recognition - Teacher Specialists Our Math and Literacy Specialists attended the Sept. SAFE GRAD Video Production - Brett Lussier - November Recognition Mr. Guidry was happy to recognize Brett at the November Board meeting for his work promoting Safe Grad. Thank you, Brett! Great job! | December Recognition - EDUinnovate Grant Recipients EDUinnovate awarded Ellington teachers over $24k for their initiatives. They were recognized at December's BOE meeting. Thank you to Jeff from EDUinnovate for presenting! | December Recognition - Fire Safety Poster Contest Winners! Students from Crystal Lake, Center, and Windermere took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Fire Prevention Poster Contest. There were also three honorable mentions! Great job to our students for sharing the importance of Fire Safety and to Fire Marshal York for sharing information about the program! |

ASL Students sign at the December Meeting EHS American Sign Language students attended December's BOE meeting to sign the National Anthem to start the meeting. They were AMAZING and we look forward to having them back the Spring! | Annual Windermere Holiday Boutique - Great Success! Board members Underwood and Moser stepped in to assist at Windermere's Holiday Boutique. So many smiling faces and an event that is looked forward to each year! | EHS Liaison Angie Moser and Board Members Marcia Kupferschmid and Kerry Socha attended this past weekend! The Opening Knight Players, Ellington High School’s Drama Club, produced the annual Christmas comedy Christmas in Pine Tree Corners on December 9th and 10th. Liaison Moser commented that the students did a great job! |

Board of Education New Teacher Meet and Greet 2022
Ahead of the September Board meeting, Board members, Administration and our newly hired teachers gathered for a Meet and Greet. Attendees shared stories relating them to the Seeds of Civility. We had great turn out and enjoyed being together for this fun event
welcoming our new teachers!
