The Franks dominated modern day France, Belgium, and Western Germany
Clovis I
Clovis I was born in the year 466 and died in 511. He was known for being the first king of all the Frankish tribes, follower of the Christian faith and now founder of France. Clovis I unified all of the Frankish tribes which is now considered his greatest accomplishment.

- The Franks established the most powerful Christian kingdom of early medieval western Europe.
- A group of Franks took advantage of the weak Roman Empire taking over all the way to Tarragona in Spain.
- The Franks were the first Germanic people who had permanently settled within the Roman territory.
