BookFlix is a digital literacy resource that pairs fiction and nonfiction ebooks together. Our PTSA has purchased a school account for our school! This resource can be located on the library webpage under digital books. Our students can use this resource at home too. Please let me know if you would like the web address so you can add it to your grade level web pages.

Allen Public Libary Children's Winter Reading Club

Beginning November 30, 2015-January 10, 2016 students can participate in the Allen Public Library Children's Winter Reading Club. Students can read or listen to five books, then return a reading log to the public library for a special prize. If you have students who heard about the reading club on morning announcements and would like to participate, please have them pick up a form from our Lindsey Library.

Calling All Lone Star Press Packets

Lone Star Press packets were due Monday; however, we are about 20 short from our goal of 80. Please remind your students to turn in any packets that they have completed. The teachers in the grade level that have the most will receive a Sonic drink! Thank you to all the teachers for supporting the Lone Star Press! The students are very excited about publishing their stories! Once the stories have been published, we will have an author celebration in the spring. Students will have an opportunity to share their books with their families.
Technology Tidbit-Telegami APP

Tellagami is a fun, new way to share animated videos. Students can customize a character by changing its features or outfit. They can record their voice. If making a book trailer, the background can be changed to the cover of a book.
