GCC Project

A few things are contributing to GCC. The main contributor is “Greenhouse effect”. This works the same way a greenhouse for plants works, heat gets trapped in the atmosphere and that keeps building up. The reason heat is not escaping the atmosphere is because certain gases (Water vapor, Carbon dioxide, Methane, Nitrous oxide, and Chlorofluorocarbons) in atmosphere block the heat’s path to escape.

Scientist have conducted studies that show the global temperature has gone up 1.4 F since 1880. That only sounds like a little bit but that's enough for arctic glaciers to melt causing sea levels to rise.

There are many effects, mostly negative, from global warming. Ice is melting on polar caps, **Sea water is rising**, animals are ending hibernation earlier, and trees are flowering sooner.
