Sustainable Summer Break
Group Childcare and Environmental Education for grades K-4!
Sessions are June 17-21, June 24-28, and July 1-5 from 9am-3pm
Prices for each session include daily pick ups and drop offs from your home, all admissions costs, and a 3:1 ratio of kids:adults. Our itinerary includes trips to the Lawrence Hall of Science, the Children's Discovery Museum, Adventure Playground, and even pedal boating at Lake Merritt! Itinerary
Day 1-
9am- pick up
9:30-12:30- Lawrence Hall of Science
12:30-1- lunch and story time
1-2:30- swimming at Lake Anza* (optional, alternatively kites/frizbee/soccer/catch/nature walk at Lake Anza)
Day 2-
9am- pick-up
9:30-12:00- adventure playground in Berkeley
12:00-12:30- lunch
12:30-1:00- story time or individual reading
1:00-3:00- making and flying kites at Ceasar Chavez park
(wind permitting- Dreamland playground in Aquatic park is an alternative)
Day 3-
9am- pick up
9:30- 10:30 snacks and playtime at Frog Park
10:30-3:00- field trip to Bay Area Children's Discovery Museum in Sausalito
Day 4-
9am- pickup
9:30-10:30- Tilden steam trains and nature walk
10:45-12:00 Lake Temescal playground and park
12:00-12:30 lunch
12:30-3:00 swimming at Lake Temescal*
Day 5-
9am- pick-up
9:30-10:00- playground and snacks in park at Lake Merritt
10:15-11:30- animal discovery at the Lake Merritt Junior Center for Art and Science
11:30-12:20- picnic lunch and story time
12:30-1:30- pedal boats at Lake Merritt*
1:30-3:00- lakeshore playground and crafts in the park
