Weekly Update 03/08/2019
Dear Parents,
I have been sharing the link below to a Family Survey that will help our school create a more focused, intentional School Improvement Plan in the future. Your feedback is extremely important to our school’s growth. I ask for your input on this survey, which should only take a few minutes to complete. Please help students and staff at Eastridge by taking the survey. The survey deadline has been extended to March 22, 2019. We appreciate your help with this!
Next week, we will have various events taking place to celebrate the end of Term 3! Several students have been invited to the COREtastic Celebration which will take place tomorrow. Students selected for this special event have had great attendance and behavior during term 3. All students have the chance to participate in Friday's CORE celebration, where they can spend their CORE cash on games, activities, prizes, and snacks!
Term 3 report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, March 15th. Please be sure to ask your student for their report card this Friday!
“Spring” Forward. Don’t forget to adjust your clocks (Daylight Savings Time)! Move your clocks forward ONE hour if you haven't already done so!!!!
The EXCEL Program here in Warren Township is designed to meet the unique academic and effective needs of highly talented students through an accelerated approach. The curriculum in the EXCEL program is differentiated and faster paced and students will work above grade level. If interested, you may fill out the EXCEL Parent Recommendation Form. All forms must be completed by March 31, 2019.
I hope you had a fantastic weekend!

Words from the Dean
It is hard to believe that we are down to the final week before spring break! Where has the year gone?!?! By this point in the year most of our students are well practiced at following the CORE expectations in their classrooms, during unstructured times and on the bus! We are excited to get the opportunity to celebrate their hard work. This Friday, March 15th will be our CORE celebration for this 9 weeks. We are throwing a CORE Glow Party under black lights which will include glow in the dark games, a dance party, the opportunity to purchase glow accessories with their CORE cash, as well as snacks. Please have your student dress in neon or light colors on Friday to help them get their glow on!
This week during CORE and Community Time, students will continue to practice listening skills, as well as have the opportunity for some team building and other CORE refreshers.
Have a great week!

3rd and 4th Graders will take the new statewide assessment called ILEARN. This is the assessment that has replaced ISTEP. The ILEARN testing window opens on Monday, April 22.
