Esports - Coming Soon to WPRC!
Please see the message below:
"Greetings, gamers!
Think you got what it takes to be crowned one of Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture’s first video game champions?
Start practicing, because this Winter you’ll be able to compete head-to-head in video game leagues through the Windsor Recreation Department in the comfort of your home. Whether you’re a noob or a pro, you’ll be able to put your skills to the test in games like Rocket League, FIFA, Super Smash Bros, Fortnite, COD, etc! As long as you have a PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or a PC you will be able to join the fun.
Got what it takes to claim bragging rights? Here are the deets:
Download the free Mission Control app—(go to missioncontrol.gg/play)
Create your profile
Click on WPRC Esports and choose your league
Check your schedule, chat with your league mates, and keep track of your standings
Joining our organization within the app is free, but leagues will come at a charge once we have enough individuals enrolled in our community to start video game leagues. Please be patient as we are building this community. We are extremely excited to bring Esports to this community and hope everyone has a great time!
Once leagues are created and you get registered you will receive a schedule with who you’re playing against each week and when you will be playing. Leagues are typically 4-6 weeks long with a tournament at the end of each season. With parental supervision all ages are welcome to play… that means even you parents!
You in? Click here to get started for free.
Got questions? Check out Mission Control’s website or shoot an email to landerson@windsorgov.com.
Game on!"
