100th Day TOMORROW!
The 100th Day of School is tomorrow! To make it extra special, students are encouraged to dress like they are 100 years old. We tour the school and take a bunch of pictures. Students complete many 100 themed activities throughout the day. Wigs, makeup, props... we've seen it all! The kids have a BLAST. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Bernie's Book Drive
We will be hosting our annual book drive for Bernie's Book Bank from Monday February 3 through Thursday February 13 to collect new and used books for children in need of reading materials in the Chicagoland area.
Reading is the single most important skill a child needs to learn. Yet studies show that 61% of low-income families don’t have any books in their homes for their children. Currently, Bernie’s serves over 300,000 children and provides a minimum of twelve books to each child, every year. They fully rely on schools like Sherwood to meet the needs of at-risk children throughout the Chicagoland area.
What you can do to help:
Bring in any new or used books for children ages birth to sixth grade and drop them in the bins located around Sherwood from Monday February 3 through Thursday February 13.Ask your family, friends, and neighbors if they have any children’s books they would like to donate
Please post on social media about this worthy book drive
Our goal at Sherwood is to collect 2,000 books.
Last year we collected 1,900 books and were just shy of our goal; let’s reach 2,000 books this year!
Thank you for your participation!Learn more about Bernie's at www.berniesbookbank.org
