Meet our September Teacher of the Month: Linda Gomberg of Be Me Preschool
In a surprirse celebration on Monday, September 17th Linda Gomberg of Be Me Preschool received the September Teacher of the Month recognition award! Ms. Gomberg is a veteran in the classroom with 24 years and counting as an instructor with CVUSD. This special recognition comes as part of the District's annual partnership with the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce to shine a light on CVUSD educators with the Teacher of the Month recognition program. High School Job Opportunity with CVUSD Provides Key Professional Skills
Monday through Friday after completing his daily schedule of classes at Thousand Oaks High School, senior Jaymes heads to another school. This time it’s Madrona Elementary where he once attended as a student, and where he now serves as a Child Care Assistant for the school’s after school child care program.
In his role as Child Care Assistant, Jaymes’ core job duties include supervising the children, assisting with homework, snack preparation, cleaning classroom materials, and working as a member of a team.
Jaymes is the first CVUSD high school student to be hired in this role for the 2018-2019 school year. The after school child care program has utilized high school students successfully in the past, and is once again opening this job opportunity up to high school students in the District. Learn more.

The Conejo Schools Foundation's Annual State of the Schools event is on October 11th! This is a great opportunity to take part in an informative, and engaging morning about CVUSD schools with keynote speaker, and proud CVUSD Superintendent, Dr. Mark McLaughlin. RSVP required.
Parent Workshop and Education Series: Mental Health from the Law Enforcement Perspective with speaker Tim Hagel, Chief of Police for the City of Thousand Oaks
Join Tim Hagel, Chief of Police for the City of Thousand Oaks for the first Parent Workshop and Education Series event of the 2018-2019 school year. He will share his unique perspective and lead a discussion on the important topic of mental health and safety.
