Life of Pi
<<<<ONE OF THE BEST READS>>>>>
Given 5 out of 5 stars and Booker Prize for Fiction Award
A book written by infamous Yann Martel, the story follows Piscine "Pi" Patel through a journey that captivates the reader's mind further as the story progresses. Pi was a Indian boy who had lived his whole life in a zoo. Literally. Pi's family owned the Pondicherry zoo at the time. And they were about to move their zoo to Canada. Pi's family booked a ship and stored their animals on-board. Everything was fine until one night, when the weather suggested a storm coming. The storm hit hard and Pi was the only one who made it out on the ocean in a life boat, or so he thought. There was a Bengali tiger on the boat too.
Based on a true story!
Yann Martel
Yann Martel spent time in India as a failing author until he found himself listening to a old man in a Indian Coffeehouse. The old man asked Martel what he did for a living. "I am a writer" said Martel. The old man smiled and said, "Then, I have a story that will make you believe in God"
