Building Successful Futures: Every Student, Every Day
Please Help Me Welcome.....Mrs. Cheri Hopsen
PSAT
If you are planning to attend college, this is the time to start thinking about college entrance exams like the ACT and SAT. The PSAT is the practice test for the SAT, but is a good practice test for college entrance exams in general. The PSAT is also the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test for juniors. Good scholarships are given to those juniors who score in the top 2 percent of scores. Other scholarships often ask for the PSAT score, as well as colleges recruiting for sports.
The PSAT will be given at AHS on Wednesday, October 14th, 1st through 4th hours. The cost is $15.00 unless you qualify for a waiver. This test is highly recommended for the college bound students. Please enroll with Mrs. Jarombek by Wednesday, September 23rd. Last day to order extra tests is September 25th. Fees must be paid by September 25th. Checks need to be made out to AHS. If you or your parents have questions, please contact Ms. Jarombek.
