Trinity Sunday

Today, as a church, we celebrate Trinity Sunday. Today’s feast invites us to live in the awareness of the presence of the Triune God within us: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The mystery of the Holy Trinity is the greatest mystery of our Faith. For more information about this mystery click here.

A Warrior's Prayer-Remember and Pray for the Fallen

Heavenly Father, Almighty God. Our Nation’s Warriors have valiantly served our Country through their own selfless sacrifice. They have given more than most can comprehend to defend freedom, protect liberty and save lives. They now carry the burdens of that sacrificial service. We ask, Heavenly Father, that you send them the Holy Spirit, so that they may find in Your Son Jesus, our Brother, peace and hope. We pray also that these Warriors can find healing for their pain, scars, loneliness and that their fears may be laid to rest by Your Son, our Great Comforter. Through the intercession of Fr. Vincent Capodanno, MM, may these Warriors know Jesus, that He is always with us sharing in our burdens and providing the peace that nothing else on Earth can offer. Lead these Warriors to the Cross, which may appear as an object of suffering and failure but in reality is the source of our salvation. In the words of Fr. Capodanno, we say “Stay quiet, Warrior. You will be Ok. Someone will be here to help you soon. God is with us all this day.” Prepare us Lord, to be a willing vessel in providing peace and hope to all those you place on our heart and on our path. We ask these things in your name dear heavenly Father, amen.
