In 1982 Howard Schultz went to the owners of Starbucks (Jerry Baldwin and Gordon Bowker) and asked them if he could be a their marketing manager.
Starting Over
Later in 1987, Schultz bought Starbucks from Baldwin and Bowker for $150,000. He started to spice up the style and was inspired to design by a retail located in Pike Place Market. A well known place that sold coffee beans, and coffee working products.
