LECC WEEKLY TIGER CUB TALK
October 13, 2022
I hope this email finds you well! The weather was in our favor today as PS and KG Tiger Cubs grooved outside for our LEPTA Dance a Thon event! Thank you to the parent and guardian volunteers that helped make it such a successful event! It was not too cold to enjoy our popsicles too! Finally, thank you to all of our LEPTA supporters who helped PS-4th grades reach their fundraising goal of $50,000! Our LECC Tiger Cubs and teaching team benefit tremendously from your generosity! Thank you!
As a gentle reminder, students do not report to school tomorrow, Friday, October 14th, and Monday, October 17th. Our team will use these two days to complete required professional development and prepare for the start of the 2nd Quarter.
Please check out the rest of this week's Tiger Cub Talk for helpful information from our LECC Team! It is a great day to be a LECC Tiger Cub!
Thank you!

A Note from our District Nurse
It is the expectation of our kindergarten students to be independent in the bathroom while at school. If for some reason your child needs assistance in achieving bathroom independence or is under a doctor’s care, please feel free to email Pam Greenberg, District Nurse assigned to LECC, at greenbpa@lovelandschools.org. We can develop a toileting plan to assist your child as needed.
Many of our teachers build bathroom times into the classroom schedule so a consistent routine is established, as well as allowing children to use the bathroom on an as-needed basis throughout the day.
Thank you for sending in a ziplock with a clothing/underwear change in your student’s backpack. This is very helpful, as kids play hard and might have a spill at lunch or get dirty while at recess!
Support Loveland Show Choirs at Raising Cane’s
Loveland Tiger Families can support our great Showchoirs by visiting the Raising Cane’s at 3901 Montgomery Road on October 20 from 2-9 pm. Grab dinner and mention the fundraiser, and 15% of the sales will go to the amazing Loveland Showchoirs. #beLOVEland
LECC Student Handbook Reminder: Student Birthday Treats
Celebrating birthdays at school is exciting! Parents/guardians may send in small, inexpensive non-food items for sharing (examples: pencils, stickers) on the day of or close to your child's birthday. We are unable to hand out food items due to allergies.
On the day of handing out your child's birthday favors, please deliver the favors to the front office with your child’s name and teacher noted. To find out how many students are in your child's class, please connect with your child's teacher or by calling the front office.
A Music Note! from Mrs. Knueven (KG Music Teacher)
I am excited about the change of seasons and how it can be celebrated with music. The past few weeks we have been talking about high and low pitches. We found that smaller instruments often make higher sounds and larger instruments can make lower sounds. We have moved our bodies to the high and low sounds too. Listen to the sounds around you to hear if they are high or low. The world around us can be a symphony of sounds.

MAP Testing Results Now Available
Fall MAP testing scores are available. MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) testing prepares students for Ohio State standardized tests. The results also help teachers design instruction to meet the needs of students at every learning level. You can access your student’s MAP results in the e-backpack, at TigerParent.me. If you have questions about MAP testing or need assistance accessing your student’s results, please contact your building principal.
