Welcome New Staff

We have some new staff to welcome to our building!

Dawn Sobleskey is our K-5 Art Teacher. She has been working at North Godwin with our 3rd - 5th grade students and now she is at West to provide Art Classes for our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders. Dawn taught at West Godwin many years ago so she is very familiar with our building!

Demi Youngstrom is our new DHHS Caseworker. Demi joined us to be able to assist families with their DHHS cases. Please contact her at 616-430-7361 or call the school office to be directed to her. Demi will be a great addition to our team!

Hailey Wolters will be starting with us today as our new TEAM 21 coordinator. Hailey is replacing Meagan Pifer who left to take another job out of the area. We are excited to have Hailey join our team!

Testing

During the month of January, students will be taking our MAP and Acadience tests with their class. This is one tool we use to measure how much your child is learning over the course of the school year. Please talk with your child about this test and encourage them to do their very best. Also, be sure they are getting their proper rest, especially the night before their class tests! Feel free to reach out to your child's teacher or the main office to find out which days your child's class will be testing.

Feeding America Food Truck

Our next Feeding America Food Truck Will be held at Godwin Heights High School on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 4:45 PM - 6:00 PM

Free English Classes
