Galtier Gazette
January 23rd, 2022
Principal's Corner
Greetings Families,
Thank you for your patience as we navigate the newly implemented SPPS policy for shifting to Virtual Learning by school site. As you may know, Galtier is 1 of 4 school sites that shifted to virtual last week. During the shift to virtual it is recommended that families keep their child/ren home. Students attending school on Virtual Learning days are expected to complete assigned work via their iPad under the supervision of school staff all day.
Galtier will continue Virtual Learning Monday and Tuesday: Students should be in LIVE classes with their classroom teacher from 9:30-10:30 and 1:00 PM-2:00PM.

PTO Updates
The PTO met last Thursday with the district's Chief of Operations Jackie Turner and Deputy Doud, to talk about the Galtier/Hamline merge. They said they are considering having Hamline change their start time to 9:30, and they also said they would be putting resources into increasing enrollment at Hamline, although they weren't specific about what that would look like. If you want to connect with families at Galtier and Hamline to talk together about the merge, please join a new Facebook group.
