Yea, us either. To put it in simple terms, it is a type of bacteria that forms in "grape-like" clusters that are actually located on practically everyone's skin! But not to worry, its harmless on the outside.

What's this about it causing staph infection???
We know we said that Staphylococcus aureus isn't all that harmful...but that's when its on the "outside" of the skin. Through even the smallest cut, you can become infected with this bacteria, causing you to develop Staph Infection! Not only can you receive staph infection through small cuts, but this bacterium can spread through contaminated surfaces and from person to person!
Sooo, care to know what it looks like??? Well...
it causes a variety of skin infections such as boils, impetigo (a painful rash), Cellulitis (an infection located in the deep layers of the skin), staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome, Bacteremia (blood posinig), toxic shock syndrome, blood infections, and soo much more symptoms that you would NOT want to know about!
