Honor the Past, Prepare for the Future, Participate Now
Mr. Mauck's Musings
I would like to compliment our students on finishing the semester on a positive note and their efforts preparing for finals. My hope is that they can enjoy the break and come back to school refreshed. Congratulations to Fernanda Masiel Hernandez Rodriguez and Mrs. Jessica Mehringer for earning Student and Staff of the Week honors. The JHS athletic teams will have a few days off but most will compete several times over break. Both the Boy's and Girl's Wrestling teams are off to good starts and will have some challenging matches coming up. Girl's basketball will compete in the Toby Yoho classic. The Boy's team will compete against Bosse and Heritage Hills over break. Swimming and Diving will have an invitational and Jeffersonville and Bedford will travel to the JHS natatorium. Good luck to all our teams. Go Cats.
I would like to thank Mrs. Claus (aka. Becky Morton) and her "Elves" for handing out candy canes at lunch. StuCo held a hot chocolate bar and Wildcat Cares had yoga to relieve stress during finals. If you are looking for that last minute gift, consider a JHS yearbook. Online orders are still being accepted. When we return from finals we will have a presentation from Ken Nwadike Jr. and his Free Hugs Project. On the first day back to school students will need to report to their homerooms to collect their second semester schedules and change their passwords on their school devices.
We would like to wish you and your families the best this Holiday Season. Enjoy your time with friends and family and focus on what is really important. Take some time to enjoy the simple things. Merry Christmas.

Happy Holidays from your “J” yearbook staff!
As we transition to a new yearbook publishing company, we’re still getting lots of questions about who is actually selling our book in 2024. If you receive marketing emails from Walsworth, those are legitimate and for JHS. Looking for the perfect gift for your Senior? Why not reserve a copy of the 2024 yearbook or consider a Senior Salute.
