St. Patrick Catholic School
Principal's Weekly Newsletter
April 14, 2022
Thank you to all who attended our Fine Arts and Leadership Showcase. We heard many positive comments and always love allowing our students to "find their voice" while sharing the good news of St. Patrick Catholic School. Next week is the National Catholic Education Association conference in New Orleans. Mrs. Dobson and I will be sharing the good news of service learning within our school. We are using many examples from our current and past school years to allow others to learn from our positive outcomes. As a Leader in Me School we strive to shine our light for others!
Make Up Hours
This winter was fairly mild but we did have delays due to weather. We will need to make up a little time so on May 4th our Wednesday will be extended to the regular 3:20 dismissal time.
Leader In Me Survey
Yesterday you should have received an email about a quick survey about our Leader In Me Program. Please complete this as soon as possible. The results will be used to plan for next year. Use the link in the email or click here: https://www.leaderinme.com/s/st-patrick-ia/families
Playground
We are anxiously waiting for the rain to stop so we can prepare the surface for playground installation. I am in contact with our parent volunteers who will be bringing in fill dirt to prepare the surface. The installation company is in weekly contact to make sure they are ready when the surface is prepared. We need a week without rain!
Blessings,
Lynette Hackett

FAITH
1st and 2nd grade students participated in the Stations of The Cross during their Lenten journey.

EXCELLENCE
One of our goals is to produce life long readers. This week we participated in D.E.A.R. time (Drop Everything and Read). Our entire school settled in with a snack and a good book to read without interruptions. It was a big success!

SERVICE
Our school parents play an important role in our success. We have many generous participants in our various school activities (Junior Achievement shown). We are still in search of a CPTO Vice President for the 2022-23 school year as well as co-coordinators for upcoming projects. School Board elections will be held in May. Interested individuals should contact the school.
