Principal's Notes
Friday, March 3rd
Hello Families,
It is hard to believe we are nearing the end of the third quarter! Thank you for attending our Parent Teacher Conferences. We appreciate your continued support and partnership. We would like to thank the parent group for providing dinner to our staff! If you were not able to attend, please contact the main office to set up a time to meet with the teachers.
The third quarter ends on Friday, March 17th. Elementary report cards and progress reports will be mailed out on Friday, March 24th. If you do not receive one the following week, please contact Mrs. Shoff in the main office.
Spring activities are well on the way! We look forward to an amazing spring season and finishing out the winter season strong!

State Championship -Basketball:
Thank you for packing the house for the District Final game! The Elm Creek Boys Basketball Team is headed to state. They play on Wednesday, March 8th at 10:45am at the Pinnacle Bank Arena!. If you ordered state apparel, please plan to pick up on Tuesday, March 8th at the main office! We will send out a message when it arrives.
District Speech:
Congrats to our Speech Team at the FKC Speech Tournament earning 1st place! They attended district speech on Wednesday, March 1st and competed hard! We did not have any State qualifiers, but several medalists.

Quiz Bowl:
-Elementary Quiz Bowl Meet will take place on Tuesday, March 14th! We look forward to seeing you support our Elementary Buffs! The Junior High team competed last week at Amherst and came home with the silver medal!
Kindergarten Round Up:
Kindergarten Round Up will take place on Thursday, April 27th at 5:30pm! This gives your child the opportunity to meet the kindergarten team for the upcoming school year, see the classrooms, and participate in some fun activities. Parents will get a chance to meet our staff, ask questions, and receive a short informational presentation about Kindergarten.
Please bring the items below:
-Birth Certificate from the state with raised seal
-Physical and eye exam-this can be brought to school anytime during the summer or before school starts
-Updated immunizations-this can be brought to school anytime during the summer or before school starts

Nebraska State Cheer and Dance competition
Our Elm Creek Cheer Team competed at the Nebraska State Cheer and Dance competition held on February 17th in Grand Island. The team competed in Hip Hop Dance and in Traditional Performance Cheer. They placed 3rd with their Traditional Cheer routine. Members of the team are Denise Hunt, Alyssa Moes, Lexi Robinson, Ashley Bauer, Halle Knapp, Emma Graddy, Cicely Gugelman, and Serenity Quintana. The team is coached by Renee' Bauer and Olivia Kitterman.
