How the Library Should Support Your Classroom
Collaboration is much different from cooperating (i.e. suggesting resources or lesson topics) and coordination (i.e. providing resources and time to see students). Collaboration is co-teaching to create team-designed, team-taught and team-evaluated lessons and units. See the "Collaboration Examples" tab on our Live Binder page for more information.

E-Books
Hundreds of e-books are available online, including children's and professional literature. Access E-books at library.dallasisd.org or this direct link. The first choice, Follett, has the largest selection and is compatible with Apple and Android devices.
Color Nooks E-readers
A set of 28 Nooks is available for classroom use. If you would like to use the Color Nooks, please come to the library or send me an email (alimurphy@dallasisd.org). To ensure all Nooks are fully charged please give at least 24 hour notice. There are many benefits to using these e-readers with students. For more information, see the "Nooks" tab on our Live Binder page.
Digital Audiobooks
Audiobooks are available for download and can be used on mobile devices. There are many popular titles available at library.dallasisd.org or this direct link.

These websites are diamonds in the rough! Encyclopedias, early childhood learning, ready-to-go social studies lessons, international literature, reader's theater scripts and more are at your fingertips. Most do not need passwords to access on-campus. Please see me for passwords to access from home (they cannot be posted online.)
