Library Schedule

Research on academic achievement strongly supports scheduling frequent library visits on an as-needed basis. This means our library schedule will vary to best accommodate school community needs. We will meet briefly each six weeks to schedule all library visits for the upcoming term.

How the Library Should Support Your Classroom

The aim of school libraries is librarian-teacher collaboration because it is shown to be most effective at impacting academic achievement.
Collaboration is much different from cooperating (i.e. suggesting resources or lesson topics) and coordination (i.e. providing resources and time to see students). Collaboration is co-teaching to create team-designed, team-taught and team-evaluated lessons and units. See the "Collaboration Examples" tab on our Live Binder page for more information.
