CHEA's Action Agenda
Your organization's action agenda is developed listening to our members and potential members. What needs to change for you to be more effective for your students? How would you improve your working conditions to have an impact on student learning conditions? How must your compensation and benefits improve to help your family meet its budget needs?
Look for surveys and small group meetings in January to collect this information and be prepared to help build the action plan for success.
Representation and advocacy support are an important aspect of your membership. Our UniServ Director, Karen Olivares, is only a phone call or e-mail away. If you are looking for opportunities for professional growth and leadership training or experiencing difficulties with your evaluation, letters of reprimand, or parent complaints contact Karen Olivares at kolivares@veanea.org or 804-897-1756.

Let Them Hear From YOU!!
The Virginia House of Delegates and Senators determine most of what will happen in your classroom. From curriculum to testing, salary to licensure, they will vote to make changes that impact your classroom and your profession. Become a cyberlobbyist and stay in the know.
NOT YET A MEMBER?
CHEA membership and the strength of our collective voice are important as we move into evaluation season and actions related to the budget cycle (think 5% raise). If you are a member, THANK YOU! Not yet a member? Be part of the only advocacy organization that speaks with you and for you. Join today and your first dues deduction will be January 1, 2016.
