Gift Exchange- Since you may be doing some shopping soon!
Our class will be having a gift exchange during the Christmas Party. We ask that you limit the price of your gift to $3.00. Boys need to bring a gift for a boy. Girls need to bring a gift for a girl. We will be playing a game to distribute the gifts, so on the tag please just have your child sign their name. They may bring their gift in anytime that is convenient prior to Dec. 20th.
Thank you!
A huge thank you to all of the families who provided food, drinks, and paper supplies for the Thankful Thursdays treats and meals. We are truly thankful to have such wonderful students and supportive parents at Converse!
Canned Food Drive
Our annual Canned Food Drive is coming up! All of the items brought in are donated to the Converse Church of Christ's Samaritan Room. The drive will run from Mon, Nov. 12 - Tues. Nov. 21 - ending at 8:30 am on Tuesday. The class in each grade level with the most items wins a popcorn party! Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Grandparent's Day
A Giant thank you to all of the family members and grandparents who attended Grandparent's Day on Thursday. The kids did a fantastic job on their reader's theater presentations and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with their guests! You will see some pictures posted below. I will post a few each week, so if yours isn't there yet, it will be soon!

Paper Grocery Bags Needed
Each child will need to bring a large PAPER GROCERY (or reusable shopping) BAG to school no later than Friday, Dec. 16. I line the bags up down the classroom and as I take down the holiday decorations they made I walk by and drop them in the open bags. The bag needs to be large, have a flat bottom and be able to stand up on its own. If you have a large collection of paper bags and would like to donate I would appreciate it. Thank you.
Wax Museum
If your child has not chosen a wax museum character, please do so by Friday, Nov. 16th.
If you’d like to sit with your child at lunch we’d love to have you. Lunch begins at 11:47 a.m. If you wish to eat the school lunch, please call the office to order a tray.
Homework
Your child's nightly homework: Read 20 minutes every night!
AND math facts for those who have not yet reached LEVEL Z in addition. This was new starting on Wednesday. See the link for the letter that I sent home on Wednesday.
