Shout Out to our PTA and friends for an AWESOME Family Game Night! The family nights continue to grow in popularity and build community!
Shout Out to Iran Daniels for his time filling in for Denise in Art. He was a great help for the first 4 weeks of school!
Shout Out to Kelsey Hopper for her help acclimating and supporting new teachers...also for inviting me in for an AWESOME science experiment!
Shout Out to Beth Smalley for teaching additional lessons on kindness and bullying to her students as a need showed itself...great work!

86% - K-4 District percentage of students meeting Lexia usage expectation
We know that meeting Lexia usage expectation leads to improved reading levels for students. Let's continue to look at ways of getting student exposure to Lexia.
Attendance Status
KG:94.7% 1st: 94.2% 2nd: 89.94% 3rd: 90.57% 4th: 93.35% SH Total: 92.52%
The district goal for student attendance is 97% What can we do in our classroom, grade level, and as a building?

Staff Focus and Action Items
Data Meetings - On Wednesday, August 29th at our staff meeting we work on collecting student data for analysis. The next week (9/4-9/7) we will schedule grade level data meetings to discuss the data collected and analyzed. I will be providing resources and documents for you to use on Wednesday morning as well as time to work on it.
Classroom Observations - Classroom observations will be beginning in the next couple of weeks. I will begin with Unannounced (15-20 minutes, no scheduled meeting). Observations, but will begin scheduling Announced (1 full lesson, scheduled meetings) next month.
Social Studies & Reading Support (seriously!) - If you would like me to come in to teach a social studies lesson for your class, please let me know a time, day, and topic that would work. Also, let me know if you would like me to come read a story to your class.

Resources & Reminders
Tier I Classroom PBIS - Continue to practice PBIS Tier I at the classroom level. Reach out to the committee for questions or clarification. It is very important that we commit to the process and provide consistency for EVERYONE. We will see the results that we are striving for if everyone is committed to being part of the TEAM!
Professional Growth - A couple reminders in regards to professional growth expectations: PGP points should be uploaded into your SFS so that they can be applied to your evaluation; everyone should have a professional learning goal that they have set with Mercedes.
The Safe Schools - Remember to complete your required trainings. Safe Schools Directions & Link (Link to the Login Procedures) The Blood Borne Pathogens training is the first one required.
