Asa Adams Back to School Newsletter

August 2023

Dear Asa Families,

The school buses will be rolling and students will be arriving in a blink of an eye. The first day of school will bring excitement, joy, smiles, tears, angst, and the start to a new school year. The first day of school can always bring many emotions for all of us but it is our hope that above all our students will arrive at school to feel safe and like they belong here in the Asa C. Adams school community.

A new school year also brings hope for the opportunity to learn, and grow together. Finding the things we are most passionate about. During the 2023-2024 school year we want to continue connecting with the community and families. These partnerships help to bring value and unique experiences to our students that help to grow passionate learners.

Please know that the Asa staff are eagerly awaiting the arrival of students with excitement and anticipation for an extraordinary year ahead. In the meantime, please know that we are always here if you need us.

Sincerely,

Ms. Wyman and Ms. West

Parent Pick-Ups: Students in grades K-5 that will be picked up by parents, will be dismissed to the playground and wait in their grade level line until they are called to meet their parents. Parents may pick up from the Asa parking lot or from Goodridge Drive.

Bus Riders: Students departing on buses will be called to the playground at 2:55pm to board their buses as they arrive.

Student Cell Phones and Smart Watches

We would like to share a friendly reminder that should students need to have cell phones or smart watches for after school activities, they should be left in the student's backpack and turned off until students leave for the school day.

Parents should contact the main office for urgent communication needs or the classroom teacher directly for any non-urgent needs. Thank you for your help with this policy.
