Writing our short vowel words with Ms. Olson
Dear Center Families,
As you can see from our Twitter feed and the pictures below, Showing Your PRIDE by being Ready and Safe is alive as well at Center. Staff members catch students showing their PRIDE and either give them a ticket or take a picture of groups of students. We are so proud of our students for persevering, being respectful, and showing integrity, dedication and empathy.
Just a reminder for Friday, students can wear festive fall colors , no costumes please. One exception to this is our K students will wear their paper bags for the parade.
Test and Stay
If you have not already done so, please consider signing up for the Test and Stay program. This allows students to remain at school when they have been identified as a close contact at school. You complete the initial form below and are then connected to a state form for test and stay. Your student is only eligible for test and stay if you sign up prior to your student being identified as a close contact. The link is below.
District Facilities Assessment and Planning
Anyone who has visited Center recently can see that space is at a premium. As enrollment continues to increase, the district is exploring options to meet our needs. Please attend the district meetings regarding this important topic if you are able. The next one is November 9th at 6PM at the Elks Lodge.
Chirps:
- If you are dropping off your student in the morning, students need to be in school by 8:59. Any students being dropped off after 8:59 (excluding busses) will be marked tardy.
Have a good week. Hope to see you at Trunk or Treat next Saturday.
Warm regards,
Dianna and Donna

Resources and Information
Student Consent Form: Weekly COVID-19 Pool Testing and/or Test and Stay Protocol
Parents are encouraged to provide consent for their child to participate in weekly COVID-19 pooltesting and the Test and Stay protocol. Pool testing and the Test and Stay protocol are key mitigation strategies as we work to provide a healthy and safe learning environment for students and staff in the Chelmsford Public Schools. You may consent for your child to participate in either or both programs.
If a parent elects not to have their child participate in the Test and Stay Program, the child must follow the traditional COVID-19 test and quarantine protocols if identified as a close contact to a COVID-19 positive case. Pool testing is strongly encouraged and recommended for unvaccinated individuals. Participation in the Test and Stay Program can significantly limit the amount of time your student will miss school if they are identified as a close contact. Please complete a separate form for each child that attends Chelmsford Public Schools.
A signed consent is required for both the Pool Testing and Test and Stay Programs. If a parent would like their child to participate in only 1 program (Pool Testing OR Test and Stay), please select and designate only 1 option from the consent form below. Chelmsford Public Schools are not currently offering symptomatic testing. The symptomatic testing option is included in this consent link, however, is not available in our district.
