New Information
Corpus Christi Procession
Fr. Jim would like to invite the school and catechism families, particularly the sacramental students to participate in the Corpus Christi procession on Sunday, June 7th following the 11:45 Mass. Please contact Mrs. Heggie in the office if you plan to attend.
VBS Help Needed
The dates for VBS are July 27-31st, from 9-12pm. The theme is Camp Discovery, where they will discover Christ's love. Usually it is divided into music, games, snacks, crafts, and bible study. A facilitator is needed to welcome the kids, and help keep things orderly and be available if someone gets sick or needs a ride home early, etc.... If you are interested and can help, please contact Leslie Swayze at ljswayze@yahoo.com.
Piano Donated
We have been very fortunate to have another piano donated to the school! We are in need of 4 people to help get it from it's current home on Grosse Ile to the school by late this week. If you are available, please contact the office.
Notre Dame
The Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at The University of Notre Dame, Mr. Don Bishop, will be giving a presentation
in Detroit on Tuesday, June 9.
This is a rare opportunity to learn how top colleges select students for admissions – Who gets admitted and why?
Mr. Bishop’s message will be invaluable to students and the adults guiding their development.
This presentation is designed with 7th and 8th grade students in mind, as well as high school students. It is never too early to start preparing.
- Decisions that 7th-11th grade students can make to improve their chances of admission to a top university.
- How to develop your best college application effort.
- Metrics that students, parents and college counselors can use to decide if admission to certain colleges are within reasonable reach.
- Costs of college and paying for college—scholarships, merit aid, the value of college compared to the costs, saving for college.
The presentation will start at 7pm in the U of D Jesuit High School and Academy cafeteria.
There will be a small reception beforehand and Q & A after.
I invite you to attend and to share this invitation with 7th and 8th grade students, parents, and faculty at your school.
An informative flyer is attached. Please RSVP to ndclubdetroit@gmail.com
