Principal's Update
Greetings CJH family,
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for ensuring that your students were present last week to participate in the Map Growth test. Your commitment and support have played a crucial role in our success.
On Wednesday, we achieved an impressive attendance rate of 99.63%, with nearly all our students on campus. It is a testament to your dedication and the importance you place on your child's education. Remarkably, only two students were absent, showcasing the strong commitment of our school community. The positive momentum continued on Thursday, with over 98% of our students present. This consistent high attendance is a reflection of the collaborative efforts between parents, students, and staff.
To celebrate this achievement, we will be organizing a special event to acknowledge and appreciate our students' commitment to attendance. Additionally, we will recognize and celebrate the remarkable growth demonstrated by students at various grade levels in their Map Growth test results.
Once again, thank you for your unwavering support and for being integral partners in our students' educational journey!
Spotlight: CJH UIL Academics
Friday, January 19th we took 50 students to compete in UIL. We competed against China Spring, Gatesville, La Vega, Robinson, and Salado. If you do not know, there are 3 students from each school, for each event, per grade level that compete. Our students were very respectful and professional at the meet and I received many compliments on their behavior as well as how sharp we looked in our shirts.
I would like to thank Mrs. Chambers, Mr. Lloyd, Miss. Garza, Mrs. Bayless, Mrs. Moralez, Mrs. Garon, Miss. Anderson, Mrs. Stanford, Mr. Donaldson, and Ms. Bottelberghe! They proctored events, graded events, cheered the students on, wiped away a few tears, and helped me keep the events running smoothly. We showed true Cadet Pride and I am so proud of my coaches and students.
The following students placed in events and will receive medals. If you see them, please congratulate them! In some events we had 17 students they were competing against.
