New Year’s Resolution Litany Poem
In 2019 I Shall Work To Keep My Thumb Green!
because just looking at plants makes me happy and relaxed.
because I love the sight of green all around me.
because leaves and their shapes, contours and colors amaze me.
because flowers and their colors, shapes and shades thrill me!!
because I have a lot of plants inside I need to keep alive this winter until I can put them out in the summer.
because I have a grow light that I can use all winter long.
because I want to carry on where Dad left off.
because I love watching a new leaf and stem form from seemingly nothing.
because I like the challenge of tending, caring for and growing a new life form!
because when I need to give a gift, I’ll always have one.
because plants are life!
~Mrs Rector
