Guidance News!

The character trait for March is COURAGE. Mrs. McCoy defines courage as the ability to overcome fear and adversity. A courageous student risks making mistakes and trying new things in his/her schoolwork. Courage is doing your best to do what is right even when others challenge your decision.

PLC Focus

Wow! What a year we have had with our PLC book study! I can hardly believe we've almost made it through our first year! I am excited to move forward with this initiative. There have been some challenging days as we have gone from having congenial relationships to collegial relationships, but I am so proud of the work we have done and look forward to continuing this journey together. In your PLC this week reflect on how you have grown as a team this year. Also, begin the conversation of where your team will go next year. Remember the three BIG pillars of a PLC

  • All students can learn!
  • Focus on Results
  • Collaborative Culture

What are your strengths as a PLC? Where do you need to focus more attention?

Based on your feedback we will move forward with plans for a leadership team. We plan to have this team in place and fully running next year, but we would like the name of the person from your team that will be representing you for the '13-'14 school. Please send the name of this person to Crystal and Rhonda.
