A Different Approach to K-12 Math Professional Learning
This course will focus on building teacher pedagogical knowledge K-12 about effective instructional practices. It will focus on three areas:
- Using the guided math workshop model as an effective practice for differentiating and enhancing mathematics instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- An examination of the current mathematics program and materials for embedded effective instructional practices.
- A review of best practices for instruction and assessment to address the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics for students in elementary, middle or high school classrooms.

August 11,12,15,16, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
September 26, 4-7pm
October 17, 4-7pm
The course is free of charge.
Castleton University Credits will be offered; 16-17 individual PD funds may be accessed for credit payment
Teaching Assistants are encouraged to participate.
