Sasquatch in the Paint
The story of a 8th grade boy trying to find who he is.
Sasquatch in the Paint
Theo Rollins is coming into the eighth grade six inches taller than he was at the end of seventh grade, which makes everybody expect more of him. Coach Mandrake, the Orangetree Middle School basketball coach, wants to make him a basketball superstar; the only problem is he is a science nerd with little to no experience. Theo goes to the park to try and improve his basketball skills. He is instantly picked up because of his height, but they quickly learn that he isn't used to his new body. A girl named Rain starts to call him "Sasquatch." On top of everything, his hard work in basketball is causing him to cause the science club to slack off which could hurt their chances at the science competition. To make matters worse, Theo is accused of stealing. Everything seems to be coming together when he leaves the science team and does well in his basketball game. This is a great book and I recommend it to anyone who likes basketball and mystery.
