Happy New Year!

Welcome Back to School! The staff and I are excited about the second semester of school as we continue to watch each child grow in many ways. As many of us set New Year's Resolutions, we are able to demonstrate and model goal setting for our students. Our classroom teachers are sharing their personal goals with students and helping their students set academic and personal goals. "A goal without a plan is just a wish." We hope to see our students learn to set goals, make a plan and keep data on their progress. It is our greatest joy to watch each child blossom and grow from the beginning of a school year to the end of the year.

Here are a few friendly reminders:

  • Please remember to send your students with jackets each day. Please LABEL all clothes for easier return if lost. Please remind your child not to share their hats and scarfs.
  • Remember that students cannot be dropped off in the bus loop in the mornings. All car riders must go through the car line.
  • Teachers will be setting up mid-year conferences (if you haven't already had one). If you ever have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your teacher or Mrs. Bunn and myself.
  • Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on PE days. 2nd and 5th grades are on a 6 day rotation for specials, so please make sure you have the schedule from their teacher.

Thanks for your continued support! We have the best school in Fayette County because of our awesome students, families, and staff.

Habit Showcase

As a Leader in Me school, we want to honor and recognize our students for their amazing leadership skills and positive behaviors. Each week, every classroom teacher will recognize one student who did an exceptional job demonstrating one of our Habits. These students will be recognized on our morning broadcast, a student profile will hang in the café lobby, and a certificate will be sent home. All students for the month will be placed in a container for a drawing at the end of the month. Ten students will be selected to have a special breakfast with Mrs. Angelo and special guests. This week, we recognized Habit 4: Think Win-Win
