Poet of the Week
Thank you to all our surprise Guest Readers!

What's Next?

Please look for the Unit 4 Parent Letter in your child's take home folder. We will begin learning about multiplication and division.
Fact Quiz Update
Starting this week, the students will take a multiplication quiz each Friday. These quizzes will not be timed. Important information about the quizzes and schedule was sent home Monday night. Please look for the letter and resources in your child's Take Home Folder.'
Our first multiplication quiz will be Friday, Dec. 4th. The students should practice x0, x1, x2 facts at home this week.
We are Readers!
In Lesson 7, we will learn about
- informational texts
- text and graphic features
- verb tenses
- synonyms
We are Authors and Illustrators!
We analyzed and evaluated Karen Hesse's ending in Come On, Rain in order to make our endings powerful and reflective! We know writers try including powerful images, actions, feelings, dialogue, and reflections in their endings to leave the reader feeling satisfied.
We cannot wait to use technology to publish our small moment stories.
We are Scientists
- We labeled diagrams to learn about the parts of the flower.
- We observed the seed pods that began to grow once the bees pollinated the flowers.
Our plants are in the last stage of their life cycle now. We cannot wait to harvest the seed pods. We wonder how many seeds are in each pod!
