Academically Honest

End Plagiarism

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is when you copy off of someone word by word. For example: Your friend shows you an art design and tells you about how happy she is about it. The next day you work on the same picture as them. When you're done, you show everybody, even your teacher and tell everybody that it's your own design. You get all the credit and they get none.

Why Is Being Academically Honest Important

Being academically honest is important because it's not only wrong but you can also lose marks/points. If you aren't academically honest when working on a test and you copy off of your friend, your teacher might realize because if the person you copied off of got the answer wrong then it means you got it wrong too. Like I said, you can lose marks.
