ECOSYSTEMS

ENERGY FLOW

An ecosystem is all the living and nonliving things in environment and the ways they interact. All living things in an ecosystem need water, food, temperature and space to grow. The energy they need comes from the sun. Animals get energy by eating plants or other animals. They are called consumers.

FOOD CHAINS AND FOODS WEBS

In a food chain, living things transfer energy by being eaten and by being eaten. A food web is a system of overlapping food chains. All living things are connected and depend each other to survive.
