A Chicago Native Tap Dancer, Choreographer, and Instructor, Nico is universally recognized as one of the lead tap dancers of his generation. He has been entertaining and educating around much of Illinois and throughout the United States for over a decade. In the past few years Nico’s international buzz has grown rapidly, expanding his talents to the likes of Europe (Barcelona, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden), Asia (China, Taiwan, Japan), Latin America (Costa Rica), and South America (Brazil).

Nico is a former member of one of Chicago’s most recognized tap companies M.A.D.D. Rhythms, where he received most of his professional tap training. He is currently a member of the tap dance company, Jus’LisTeN and Sour Apples Crew, an “all elements” hip-hop group. Aside from his role performing as a Tap Dancer in these groups, Nico has attained creative control as a Director, Emcee, and Musician. Using his leadership, Nico has helped to mold them into two of the most uniquely groundbreaking groups in their respective fields. He was also recently featured in the Canon USA, INC. Tap Commercial Rhythm of Life.

After studying Performing Arts Management at Columbia College Chicago, Nico has further pursued opportunities as a director. In 2011, he had the esteemed pleasure to direct a show as a part of the Chicago Human Rhythm Project’s “Rhythm World” Tap Festival entitled Beat-Niks. This sold-out show received rave reviews in the Chicago Tribune, Time Out Chicago, and See Chicago Dance.
