Thank You
Thank you to everyone who came to the Montessoiree, we had a great time and the kids are so proud that their artwork was such a hit! A huge thank you to the Blend for hosting such an amazing, fun event for such a great cause. The money raised will be used to help fund future field trips and purchase materials for the classrooms.

Upcoming Weather
The snow is falling and the kids are so excited to get out and play in the glistening white stuff. Please remind your child to pack their snow pants, boots, gloves, and hat prior to leaving in the morning. If there isn't snow in the forecast or on the ground, snow pants are not necessary; however, we do suggest boots from here on out. Students arriving early will still go out onto the playground; please plan accordingly when sending your child to school in the morning. Thank you!

Montessori Material of the Week
The Montessori material of the week is the addition strip board. The addition strip board lays a foundation for addition and counting concretely. The blue bar represents the first addend, the red rod represents the second adding and the amount of numbers you count up to get to the sum. After completing the strip board with mastery students are ready to add abstractly and with more complicated work materials.
