CA Update

Welcome back everyone. What's the saying, March Winds brings April Snow? Was this in Punxsutawney Phil's forecast?

Well, we are back at it Monday, which after the week off, will be a "B Day". This is always the most asked question in the atrium when we return from a break.

We have two spring concerts this week, on Tuesday the CA Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra & Wind Ensemble will perform. Thursday, the CA New Jazz Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra & Symphonic Band will perform. Both begin at 7:30 P.M.

Have a Great Week!

Your Principal,

Junior Class News

It's almost prom time! While it can be a highlight for your child, it can be worrisome for you. With that in mind, here are some suggestions to make the Class of 2017 Junior Prom memorable and reasonable!

Venue: The Junior Prom will be on the Finger Lakes Community College campus on May 14. The class wants to make this a special event for our students. The ticket price will include a gourmet meal catered by Finger Lakes Community College. We stress to students this is a dinner/dance. The dinner is included in the price of the ticket. We do this to decrease the traveling around town and so students arrive safe and on time.

Tickets: The tickets will go on sale during lunches April 25 - 29.

Guest Passes: We only open to out of district guests for the junior prom and senior ball. Students must get a guest pass from the main office and have it returned in order to purchase a ticket.

Transportation: No limousines, please. We discourage these for the junior prom.

Clothing: No need for a tuxedos or fancy ball room dresses. We can be reasonable for the junior prom - suit and tie, regular dress are perfect!

Dinner: Dinner will start at 6:30 PM with the dance running from 8 to 11:00 PM. All students must be at the dance by 9:00 PM. Please encourage your child to stay for the dance and not leave early.

Parents: Please feel free to come to the Prom, take photos, walk around. I, along with the class of 2017 advisers and students, invite you to take a tour, check out the decorations, and take lots of pictures!

Summer Driver Education

We are pleased to announce that Driver’s Education will be offered this summer! We will do our best to accommodate all students that are interested. However, if we have more students interested in the program than slots available enrollment will be based on seniority. (Next year’s seniors get 1st priority, followed by next year’s juniors based on age, followed by next year’s sophomores based on age). Please note age/seniority plays no part in driving and lecture time assignments.

The program will run on the following dates:

  • Week 1 – July 5, 6, 7, 8
  • Week 2 – July 11 – 15
  • Week 3 – July 18 – 22
  • Week 4 – July 25 – 29
  • Week 5 – August 1 & 2

All students will have one 72 minute classroom session and one 72 minute driving session each day. Students will be allowed to miss only 1 day of class.

Registeration for Drivers Education will begin on April 11. For more information click HERE or contact Mr. Mulheron via email at
